When you are on the hunt for a new career as an SLP, OT, PT, SW or SpEd teacher, some opportunities are listed as “Contract-to-Hire”. However, if you are not familiar with the staffing and recruiting industry, or if you have never worked with an agency like Spotter Staffing, that term may be new to you.
So, What Is a “Contract-to-Hire” Position?
Sometimes called a “temp-to-hire” or “temp-to-perm” opportunity, a “contract-to-hire” job basically means that the position is held for a set amount of time with the opportunity to become permanent when the contract has met its end date.
Essentially, you get the opportunity to try the job out before you decide to make it your long-term career!
How Is “Contract-to-Hire” Different Through Spotter Staffing?
A “contract-to-hire” role through Spotter is a W-2 position that gives you the same status as a full-time school employee. For example, Spotter provides your health benefits through Bennie, deducts government taxes from your paycheck, grants paid time off, and your employee 401(k) plan. Spotter Staffing also covers your professional liability insurance, so you have one less thing to worry about while you are positively impacting your students and school.
One thing Spotter Staffing DOES NOT do is require a non-compete agreement. We also do not charge a conversion fee to the school OR to our employees. This allows you to find your best possible job opportunity, and ensure you love the school and classroom environment, before committing to a long-term employment contract. We believe in providing every possible opportunity for success to our employees and their students, and that means providing every tool and every support you need to achieve your goals.
Most independent contractor jobs require you to provide these services for yourself. Partnering with Spotter lets us take the paperwork off you, so you can focus on what you do best – your job!
