Who We're Looking For

To succeed in this role from day one, you'll need:

• A passion for early intervention and language development

• Experience or enthusiasm for working with young learners on:

  • Articulation

  • Phonology

  • Language development

  • Pragmatics

  • Fluency

  • Play-based and early literacy skills

• Comfort writing IEP goals and progress reports

• Ability to collaborate with special education and general education teams

• Strong organizational and communication skills

What to Expect Your First Day

You’ll receive a dedicated, full-day onboarding experience led by the district's SPED administration team. This includes:

• Walkthrough of school systems and access credentials

• Overview of caseload, IEP management tools, and district protocols

• Support in getting oriented to the team, schedule, and student needs

• Introduction to your role within the EC and special education programs

What a Typical Week Looks Like

• Deliver speech services to Early Childhood students, with support for K–5 special education classes (self-contained and resource)

• Collaborate with EC teachers, social workers, OTs, and PTs

• Conduct evaluations and screenings

• Attend IEP meetings and contribute to reports and planning

• Support Tier 1 language development strategies across classrooms
