Occupational Therapist – Elementary School (Grades 1–5)
Hours: 7:45 AM – 3:15 PM
Start Date: Immediate
Term: Guaranteed through December 2025 (Winter Break), with potential to continue into 2026
Pay: $50 – $60 per hour

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join a collaborative elementary school team serving students in grades 1–5. The caseload is very reasonable, and you’ll work alongside other therapists in a supportive environment. Students require a mix of services ranging support with fine motor skills (handwriting, cutting, buttoning), sensory regulation, or classroom participation to adapted equipment use, and significant sensory or motor interventions. 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services tailored to student IEP goals.

  • Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and families to support academic, fine motor, sensory, and self-regulation development.

  • Use evidence-based practices to promote independence and school success.

  • Monitor progress, maintain timely documentation, and communicate effectively with the school team.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist in Illinois.

  • Experience working with school-aged children preferred.

  • Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
