Position Title:

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Elementary School (Leave Coverage)


Position Summary:

Elementary school in Wylie, TX is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to provide full-time coverage for a leave from December through March 2026. This position serves elementary-age students in a supportive, collaborative school environment focused on communication growth and student success.

This is a fantastic opportunity for both experienced clinicians and Clinical Fellows (CFs) seeking hands-on experience with mentorship support in a Texas school setting.


Schedule:

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday – 40 hours per week

  • December – March 2026 (4-month assignment)

  • On-site at Wylie, Texas


Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students with communication disorders including articulation, language, fluency, and voice.

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with IDEA and Texas Education Agency (TEA) requirements.

  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to integrate communication goals into the classroom environment.

  • Maintain documentation, progress reports, and data collection aligned with district and state standards.

  • Participate in ARD/IEP meetings and provide input regarding communication needs and goals.

  • Support inclusive practices by consulting with general and special education staff.


Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.

  • Valid Texas SLP License or eligible for temporary licensure.

  • Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidates are encouraged to apply—supervision will be provided.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.

  • Passion for working with children and supporting academic and social success through communication.

Compensation: 

$47/hour and up depending on experience
