Qualifications for candidates include:

  • Illinois Occupational Therapist license issued by the the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
  • Experience working with students with diverse needs in a school or pediatric setting preferred.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with educators, parents, and related service team. 

Hours: 8:00am – 3:30pm

Compensation: $47/hr. and up, depending on experience.

Occupational Therapist position details: Educational cooperative is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Occupational Therapist to join their team. This position provides a combination of direct consultative occupational therapy services at their center, as well as, two district school locations with cooperative-run programs. Join a large, multidisciplinary related services team that values collaboration, communication, and professional growth. Work in a supportive environment where therapists, educators, and staff partner to help students reach their fullest potential. 

  • Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students in a therapeutic educational setting.
  • Support students with a variety of needs, including developmental delays, sensory processing disorders, autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, and other syndromes affecting fine motor skills, sensory, and functional performance.
  • Delivery therapy using both push-in and pull out service models based on program structure and student needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families to promote functional skills.
  • Participate in the evaluation process, including classroom observations and assessments for referrals received from district teams as part of MTSS procedures. 
  • Develop and implement individualized plans and IEP gorals.
  • Maintain thorough and compliant documentation of services and student progress.
