Special Education Teacher (LBS1) – High School

Spotter Staffing is seeking a passionate and skilled Special Education Teacher (LBS1) to join a high-performing charter high school in Chicago specifically teaching Algebra. This is a full-time position supporting diverse learners in grades 9–11 within a collaborative, college-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and small-group instruction to students with IEPs

• Co-teach and collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum and instructional strategies

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with state and federal requirements

• Track and report student progress while maintaining accurate documentation

• Foster an inclusive, engaging, and academically rigorous classroom culture

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement required

• Experience working with high school students strongly preferred

• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills

• Commitment to equity and supporting all students in achieving college readiness
