Self Contained – Special Education Teacher

Spotter Staffing is seeking a passionate and dedicated LBS1 Special Education Teacher to join a therapeutic day school located in Palatine. This position focuses on working with upper high school students who benefit from a smaller, highly supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals and students’ individual learning needs.

• Collaborate with social workers, paraprofessionals, and therapists to support students’ academic and emotional growth.

• Develop engaging lesson plans that accommodate a range of abilities and behavioral supports.

• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary team approach.

• Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement required.

• Experience working with students with emotional or behavioral needs preferred.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Passion for helping students reach their fullest potential in a therapeutic setting.
