Position Summary:

Our Client a Charter School is seeking a passionate and collaborative Special Education Co-Teacher to serve as part of an inclusive teaching team for the 2025–2026 school year. This educator will work alongside general education teachers in a co-teaching model to support students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring access to high-quality, differentiated instruction for all learners.

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)

• LBS1 Endorsement required

• Experience in inclusive classrooms and co-teaching preferred

• Strong belief in the  mission of college readiness, character development, and community engagement

Responsibilities:

• Co-teach in inclusion settings alongside general education teachers in core academic subjects

• Provide accommodations, modifications, and differentiated instruction aligned with student IEPs

• Lead small-group instruction and targeted interventions

• Participate in IEP development, data collection, and progress monitoring

• Engage families in the special education process and communicate student progress

• Contribute to a collaborative and culturally responsive school culture
