Location:  School District in Allen, TX
Position: Full-Time Special Education Teacher
Program: K–6 PASS (Positive Approach to Student Success) Classroom
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Full Time, 7:15 am- 3:15 pm
Start Date: ASAP

About the Position

This school is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Special Education Teacher to lead a K–6 PASS Program classroom. This program supports students eligible under the Emotional Disturbance (ED) category, focusing on positive behavior supports while ensuring access to grade-level TEKS-aligned instruction in their general education classrooms.

You’ll work with a small, structured caseload and a collaborative team committed to helping students succeed both behaviorally and academically.

Classroom & Caseload Details

• PASS classroom serving grades K–6

• 5 students currently enrolled (cap at 10)

• Supported by 2 paraprofessionals

• Students participate in general education classrooms for instruction

• TEKS curriculum aligns student learning with grade-level standards

Qualifications

• Texas Special Education Certification required

  • (CORE content certification preferred but not required)

• Strong behavior management background essential

• CPI Training is a plus — district will provide training if needed
