Spotter Staffing is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Occupational Therapist (OT) or Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to provide high-quality services within a school district NW of the DFW area. This is a part-time role averaging 15 hours per week and involves working collaboratively with campus teams, evaluating student needs, and delivering services that support academic, functional, and life-skills success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students with disabilities per their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

  • Conduct evaluations, re-evaluations, observations, and functional assessments as required (OT only; OTA assists).

  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families to support student access and participation in school activities.

  • Develop and maintain accurate session notes, progress documentation, and required compliance paperwork within district timelines.

  • Participate in ARD/IEP meetings, providing data and recommendations related to occupational therapy services.

  • Implement interventions that support fine motor skills, sensory regulation, self-help skills, visual-motor integration, and functional school participation.

  • Consult with staff regarding environmental modifications, adaptive equipment, and classroom accommodations.

  • Follow all Texas licensure requirements and district/SSA procedures.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Valid Texas licensure as an Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant.

  • Experience working with children and/or students in educational or pediatric settings.

Preferred:

  • Previous school-based OT experience.

  • Familiarity with TEA/IEP compliance expectations.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Hours & Compensation

  • Part Time – 15 hours/week

Compensation: 35-41 dollar per hour based on experience and uncapped bonus potential.
