A well-regarded elementary school district in the north suburbs of Chicago is seeking a qualified Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) to provide FMLA leave coverage for a second-grade team. This position is offered through a staffing company and begins immediately, running through the end of March, with the possibility of extending for the remainder of the school year.

Responsibilities Include:

• Delivering specialized instruction and support to second-grade students with diverse learning needs

• Collaborating with general education teachers, related service providers, and families

• Developing, implementing, and monitoring IEP goals and accommodations

• Maintaining accurate student progress documentation

• Contributing to a positive, inclusive classroom environment

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois LBS1 Professional Educator License

• Experience working with elementary students preferred

• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities

• Commitment to supporting students’ academic and social-emotional growth

Position Details:

• Full-time, school-day schedule

• Immediate start

• Scheduled through end of March, with potential extension through the full school year
