Elementary Level | Long-Term Assignment
A leading education staffing company is seeking a Special Education Teacher for a long-term assignment at an elementary school in a suburban public school district. This position supports students with behavioral needs in a self-contained classroom setting.
Assignment Dates: January 5, 2026 – June 5, 2026
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:20 a.m. – 2:35 p.m.
Caseload: Approximately 5–8 students
Grade Levels: 3rd–5th
Serve as a self-contained special education teacher for upper elementary students with behavioral needs
Deliver primary instruction in literacy, math, science, and social studies in small-group settings
Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Collect, track, and analyze data related to student IEP goals and progress
Collaborate closely with IEP team members, school staff, and families to support student success
Maintain compliance with all special education documentation and reporting requirements
Valid Special Education teaching license (state-specific)
Experience working with students with behavioral and emotional needs preferred
Strong classroom management and data-driven instructional skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Small caseload and structured schedule
Long-term placement with consistent hours
Support and advocacy from a dedicated staffing team
