Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Supervisory & Evaluation Focus

Location: Saginaw, TX
Campus: K–8 Elementary (Charter District)
Position Type: Full-Time
Start Date: January 2026 – through end of school year

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a large, supportive charter district serving a K–8 elementary campus in Saginaw, TX. This full-time position is ideal for an SLP who enjoys leadership, supervision, assessment, and collaboration, with limited direct therapy responsibilities.

The role focuses primarily on supervision of an SLP-Assistant, evaluations, and participation in special education meetings, with flexibility built into the schedule to support work-life balance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision and mentorship to an assigned SLP-Assistant (SLP-A)

  • Share responsibility for a K–8 caseload of approximately 80–100 students

  • Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations

  • Lead and participate in ARD/IEP meetings (ARDs may be conducted remotely via Microsoft Teams)

  • Collaborate closely with special education staff, campus administration, and families

  • Support compliance with IDEA and district expectations

  • Provide limited direct therapy support as needed (most students receive 30 minutes per week, with push-in services for self-contained classrooms)


Schedule & Work Environment

  • On-site: 3 days per week (7:45 AM – 3:45 PM)

  • Work from home: 2 days per week

  • Campus operates Monday–Friday

  • Highly supportive principal and special education administrative team


Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

  • Active Texas SLP license and ASHA CCCs

  • Experience supervising an SLP-Assistant (or strong interest and readiness to supervise)

  • School-based experience preferred
