Position Overview
Spotter is seeking a full-time Inclusion Special Education Teacher to support high school students (grades 9–12) in a collaborative, inclusive learning environment, with a primary instructional focus in physics and biology classrooms.

This is a long-term, stable assignment in a mission-driven high school located in the heart of downtown Chicago. The school serves a diverse student population and emphasizes academic excellence, equity, strong relationships, and preparation for college and future leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Support students with IEPs in general education and co-taught physics and biology classes
• Adapt science lessons, labs, materials, and assessments to ensure meaningful access to grade-level content
• Implement accommodations and modifications aligned with IEP goals, particularly in STEM coursework
• Provide small-group and individual instruction to reinforce core biology and physics concepts
• Support students with organization, executive functioning, and test preparation in science courses
• Track student progress and maintain clear, compliant special education documentation
• Collaborate daily with science teachers, counselors, and support staff
• Contribute to a positive, structured, and student-centered classroom culture
• Communicate effectively with families and team members regarding student progress
