Occupational Therapist (ESY)

Hours: 8:15a to 12:15a
Pay $50-$60 per hour
Position Overview:
As an Occupational Therapist (OT) for Extended School Year (ESY), you will work with students with a variety of needs in a flexible and supportive environment. Your placement will be determined based on your skills, experience, and areas of interest, allowing for a personalized approach to your role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group therapy services to students with diverse needs.
- Address skills such as fine motor development, writing skills, sensory processing, emotional control, ADLs, perception, executive function, and postural control.
- Utilize assistive technology and specialized equipment to support student success.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and other therapists to develop effective intervention plans.
- Document student progress, assessments, and therapy outcomes in accordance with school and state guidelines.
- Participate in IEP meetings and goal setting for students as needed.

- Strong foundation in fine motor skills development, sensory processing, ADLs, and executive function.
- Ability to assess and address postural control, perception, and assistive technology needs.

What Does a Typical Day/Week Look Like?
- Your schedule will be customized based on your skills, preferences, and availability.
- Work in one or multiple settings, depending on student needs.
- Collaborate regularly with other therapists, educators, and school staff.
- Provide therapy through individualized sessions, small groups, and classroom-based interventions.
