Position Title:

Educational Diagnostician

Position Summary:

The Educational Diagnostician conducts comprehensive evaluations to determine student eligibility for special education services. This role supports students with disabilities through data-driven assessment, ARD committee participation, and collaboration with educators, administrators, and families to develop effective individualized educational programming.


Key Responsibilities:

Evaluation & Assessment

  • Conduct Full and Individual Evaluations (FIEs) in compliance with IDEA and state guidelines.

  • Administer and interpret standardized and curriculum-based assessments.

  • Analyze academic, behavioral, social, and developmental data.

  • Prepare clear and legally compliant evaluation reports.

  • Monitor evaluation timelines and ensure compliance with regulations.


ARD/IEP Development

  • Participate in ARD/IEP meetings as an evaluation expert.

  • Explain evaluation results to parents, staff, and administrators.

  • Provide recommendations for eligibility, services, and supports.

  • Assist teams in developing measurable IEP goals.


Collaboration & Consultation

  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Provide consultation regarding accommodations, modifications, and instructional strategies.

  • Support MTSS/RTI problem-solving processes.


Compliance & Documentation

  • Maintain confidential student records.

  • Ensure adherence to federal and state special education requirements.

  • Track re-evaluation and review timelines.


Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Special Education or related field

  • State Educational Diagnostician certification

  • Knowledge of special education laws and evaluation procedures

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills


Preferred Qualifications:

  • School-based evaluation experience

  • Experience working with diverse student populations

  • Familiarity with multiple assessment tools

Hours: Up to 40 hours per week 
Compensation: 48-54 dollars per hour (based on experience) and uncapped bonus potential.
