Educational Diagnostician
The Educational Diagnostician conducts comprehensive evaluations to determine student eligibility for special education services. This role supports students with disabilities through data-driven assessment, ARD committee participation, and collaboration with educators, administrators, and families to develop effective individualized educational programming.
Conduct Full and Individual Evaluations (FIEs) in compliance with IDEA and state guidelines.
Administer and interpret standardized and curriculum-based assessments.
Analyze academic, behavioral, social, and developmental data.
Prepare clear and legally compliant evaluation reports.
Monitor evaluation timelines and ensure compliance with regulations.
Participate in ARD/IEP meetings as an evaluation expert.
Explain evaluation results to parents, staff, and administrators.
Provide recommendations for eligibility, services, and supports.
Assist teams in developing measurable IEP goals.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Provide consultation regarding accommodations, modifications, and instructional strategies.
Support MTSS/RTI problem-solving processes.
Maintain confidential student records.
Ensure adherence to federal and state special education requirements.
Track re-evaluation and review timelines.
Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
State Educational Diagnostician certification
Knowledge of special education laws and evaluation procedures
Strong communication and collaboration skills
School-based evaluation experience
Experience working with diverse student populations
Familiarity with multiple assessment tools
Hours: Up to 40 hours per week
Compensation: 48-54 dollars per hour (based on experience) and uncapped bonus potential.
