Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Near Zion, Illinois
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch)
Weekly Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Pay: Approximately $55 per hour
Start Date: Immediate start with the opportunity to continue through the 2026–2027 school year
Spotter Staffing is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support approximately 20–25 students in an elementary school setting. Students on the caseload present with a mix of speech and language needs, including foundational language development, articulation, and a few students requiring more involved support.
This role focuses on helping students strengthen communication skills that allow them to participate more effectively in the classroom and socially with peers. The SLP will work closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student growth and ensure services align with each student’s IEP goals.
This is a long-term opportunity starting immediately and continuing into the 2026–2027 school year.
Provide speech and language therapy services to approximately 20–25 students based on IEP goals.
Deliver individual and small-group therapy sessions targeting articulation, expressive and receptive language, and communication skills.
Support students with a range of needs, from foundational language development to more involved speech or language challenges.
Conduct progress monitoring and maintain documentation aligned with IEP requirements and school guidelines.
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers to support communication skills in the classroom.
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute recommendations for speech and language goals and services.
Adapt therapy strategies and materials to meet the individual learning styles and communication needs of students.
Help teachers and staff implement communication strategies that support student success throughout the school day.
Maintain consistent communication with families and school staff regarding student progress and strategies for continued growth.
A typical day includes providing individual and small-group speech therapy sessions focused on articulation, language development, and communication skills. The SLP also collaborates with teachers and special education staff, tracks student progress toward IEP goals, and adjusts therapy strategies based on each student’s needs.
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in Illinois (or eligible for licensure).
Experience working with elementary students with speech and language needs.
Comfortable managing a caseload of approximately 20–25 students.
Strong collaboration skills with teachers, special education teams, and families.
Organized and detail-oriented with IEP documentation and progress monitoring.
Passion for helping students develop communication skills that support academic and social success.
