Inclusion – Special Education Teacher

Job Title: Behavior Specialist / Educational Consultant (Contract)
Location: Royse City, TX (On-site with some virtual flexibility)

Position Overview:
School district in Royse City, TX is seeking a Behavior Specialist or Educational Consultant with a strong behavior background to support students and staff across campuses. Candidates may be school psychologists, diagnosticians, special education teachers, counselors, or similar professionals. The skill set is key.

Key Responsibilities

Behavior Consult:

• Conduct classroom observations following teacher referrals

• Review student records (IEP/BIP)

• Provide strategies and recommendations to support teachers

Behavior Consult + FBA:

• Complete formal Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) with parent consent

• Develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)

• Attend ARD meetings (in person preferred, virtual optional)

• Provide follow-up support as needed

Additional Details

• Collaborate regularly with teachers and campus staff

• Must be skilled in FBAs, BIPs, and ARD participation

• Flexible schedule; candidate manages their own calendar based on referrals

• Approximately 20 hours per week

• Observations on campus; paperwork may be completed remotely

• Caseload is district-wide; age preferences will be considered when possible

• Contract runs through May 22
