Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLP-A) – Maternity Leave Coverage

Campus: Elementary School (K–5)
Position Type: Full-Time, On-Site (Temporary)
Schedule: Monday–Thursday (4-day week) with occasional Fridays
Hours: 7:45 AM – 4:45 PM (40 hours/week)
Assignment Length: 12 Weeks
Start Date: August 17, 2026


Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLP-A) to provide 12-week maternity leave coverage at a supportive elementary campus in Terrell, TX. This is a great opportunity to join a strong special education team, gain valuable experience, and make an immediate impact at the start of the school year.


Caseload & Responsibilities

  • Caseload of approximately 60 elementary students (K–5)

  • Provide direct therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP

  • Implement treatment plans and support student communication goals

  • Collect data and maintain accurate documentation using Frontline

  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and the supervising SLP

  • Support student progress across a range of communication needs

Qualifications

  • Active Texas SLP-A license

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field

  • School-based experience preferred, but not required

  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
