Special Education Teacher – Co-Taught Classroom 2026-2027 School Year
Staff Hours: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Orientation: August 5th, school begins on August 6th 

School district in the south suburbs is seeking a passionate, collaborative Kindergarten Special Education Teacher to join their dynamic team for the 2026-2027 school year. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a co-teaching model alongside a dedicated general education kindergarten teacher, creating an engaging and inclusive classroom where every student is supported to reach their full potential.

Position Responsibilities:

• Partner with the general education teacher to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated instruction.
• Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and provide specialized instructional support.
• Monitor student progress while maintaining special education compliance and documentation.
• Collaborate with related service providers, school staff, and families to support student success.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic, social, and emotional growth.

Qualifications:

• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement required.
• Elementary or kindergarten special education experience preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience preferred. 
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Passion for inclusive practices and supporting diverse learners.

Compensation: $47 and up, depending on experience.
