Do you love working with young learners and helping build communication skills at the very beginning of a child’s educational journey?

We are seeking an enthusiastic and collaborative Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a highly respected Preschool Special Education team serving students ages 3–5 years old. This position is ideal for an SLP who enjoys balancing therapy, diagnostics, and meaningful collaboration while working in a supportive district with high expectations and a strong team culture.

This role offers the opportunity to become part of a 4-person SLP team committed to early intervention and helping students access communication and learning opportunities from the very start.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide speech-language therapy services to preschool students ages 3–5

  • Deliver therapy through a push-in service model, including classroom-based and small group lessons

  • Conduct play-based observations and diagnostic evaluations

  • Prepare for and attend in-person ARD meetings

  • Collaborate with teachers, families, diagnosticians, and multidisciplinary teams

  • Develop and implement individualized goals to support communication growth

  • Maintain compliant documentation and service records


Caseload

  • Preschool caseload (ages 3–5)

  • Caseload begins lower at the start of the year and increases as students turn three, complete evaluation, and become eligible for services

  • Typical end-of-year caseload: approximately 48 students


Qualifications

  • Active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

  • School-based experience preferred

  • Experience with preschool and early childhood populations preferred

  • Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills

  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
