Pay: Up to $53/hour
Contract Hours: 35 hrs/week + 30-min daily lunch
Schedule: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri: 8:15 AM – 3:45 PM, Wed: 8:15 AM – 4:00 PM
Grade Levels: 1st–5th Grade
Caseload: Approximately 8-10 students

About the Role
This is a resource-model LBS1 position supporting elementary students with IEPs. The teacher will work with students individually and in small groups, pulling from and pushing into the general education classroom as appropriate, while managing a caseload of 8-10 students independently.
Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized instruction per student IEP goals in a resource setting
- Manage a full elementary caseload independently, including scheduling, service minutes, and documentation
- Write and monitor IEPs, progress reports, and required compliance paperwork
- Collaborate with general education teachers on accommodations/modifications
- Manage challenging student behaviors using proactive, individualized strategies
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians and the IEP team
- Coordinate with related service providers as needed
Requirements
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement
- Prior elementary-level LBS1 experience required
- Comfortable operating independently with minimal day-to-day oversight
- Demonstrated ability to manage students with challenging behaviors
- Strong organizational skills for caseload and compliance management
