Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – School-Based

Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 8:10 AM – 3:40 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch)
- 2.5 days/week – PreK Building
- 1.5 days/week – K-5th Building
- 1 day/week – Middle School Building
About the Opportunity
Join a well-established, experienced team of OTs and COTAs supporting a district with strong, stable leadership. Caseload of approximately 35-40 students across PreK, K-5th, and middle school, with most students in general education and some PreK students in self-contained classrooms.
Responsibilities
- Provide therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, addressing fine motor, sensory processing, and life/functional skills
- Assist with evaluations and re-evaluations as directed by the supervising OT
- Implement and progress-monitor IEP goals under OT supervision
- Collaborate with supervising OTs, classroom teachers, and related service providers across three buildings
- Provide observations and data to support IEP meetings and recommendations
- Maintain timely, compliant documentation
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited OTA program
- Active Illinois COTA License (IDFPR)
- Experience with PreK and/or school-age pediatric populations preferred
- Experience with self-contained/PreK special education settings a plus
