Position Overview

Spotter Staffing is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide services to students through a confidential special education cooperative in the Niles Township area. This is a part-time 0.2 FTE opportunity, ideal for an OT looking for a consistent one-day-per-week school-based position.

The Occupational Therapist will work collaboratively with teachers, special education staff, related service providers, and families to support students' ability to participate successfully in their educational environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to students in accordance with their IEPs.
• Conduct evaluations and assessments as needed.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions.
• Address fine motor, gross motor, sensory processing, visual-motor, and functional skills.
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support students in the classroom.
• Maintain accurate documentation and service records.
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide input regarding students' progress and needs.
• Communicate effectively with families and educational staff.
• Follow all applicable school, district, and state requirements.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Illinois Occupational Therapy license.
• NBCOT certification preferred/required as applicable.
• Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
