Occupational Therapist – FMLA October 12, 2026 – February 26, 2027
Location: Glen Ellyn, IL
Schedule: Full-Time (1.0 FTE) Monday – Friday
Hours: 8:20 AM – 3:30 PM
$50/hr. and up, based on experience

Seeking a dynamic and team-oriented Occupational Therapist for a full-time, single-building position. This role is ideal for an Occupational Therapist who enjoys being embedded in the school community, collaborating closely with staff, and stepping in wherever students need support. The building has an energetic culture with highly approachable leadership and a strong sense of teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct occupational therapy services aligned with IEP goals
• Manage a caseload of approximately 30 students, with a well-balanced workload
• Deliver services using a push-in model, including:
• Full group lessons within self-contained classrooms
• Functional, hands-on activities 
• Co-teaching alongside related service providers such as Speech-Language Pathologists
• Support students’ development in:
• Fine motor and functional life skills
• Sensory regulation
• Classroom participation and independence
• Complete documentation using the Embrace IEP system
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Team-Based Support Role
• This position goes beyond a traditional therapy model. The OT is an active member of the school community, including:
• Supporting arrival and dismissal routines

Qualifications

• Active Illinois Occupational Therapist license
• School-based experience preferred
• Comfortable working in:
• Self-contained classroom settings
• Collaborative, co-teaching environments
• Strong sensory regulation strategies
• Functional and life skills instruction
• Flexibility and responsiveness in dynamic school environments
• Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to jump in and support where needed
