Qualifications for Special Education Math Resource Teacher candidates include:

• Valid Texas Special Education certification
• Valid Texas Math certification appropriate for the assignment
• Experience working with students receiving special education services preferred
• Secondary mathematics teaching experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of differentiated instruction, accommodations, and modifications
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Hours for Special Education Math Resource Teacher:

• Full-Time
• Monday–Friday during standard school hours
• 2026–2027 School Year

Compensation for Special Education Math Resource Teacher:

• $48–$54 per hour based on experience
• Uncapped bonus potential

Special Education Math Resource Teacher position details:

• High school Math Resource setting
• Provide specialized mathematics instruction to students receiving special education services
• Differentiate instruction based on student needs and ability levels
• Implement accommodations and modifications
• Develop and monitor individualized IEP goals
• Track student progress and use data to guide instruction
• Participate in ARD/IEP meetings
• Collaborate closely with general education and special education teachers
• Help students develop greater confidence and independence in mathematics
